Hello, God has given me something in Judges 20: (part of)28 which says, “They asked, “shall we go up again to battle with Benjamin our brother, or not?” The Lord responded, “Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.”
So what God has given me, is that the Israelites won the battle against the Benjaminites on the third day, and when Jesus on the cross for your sin, and my sin, He rose up on the third day.
So on the third day the Israelites (Gods people) won a victory over the Benjaminites, and on the third day, Jesus (and us) had a victory.
The other two days the Israelites tried to conquer the Benjaminites, they lost the battle, and they lost some men. But on the third day, they won. And for us, all the days before Jesus’ death, we had been sinning, and then at the cross, Jesus took all our sin away, and on the third day rose again. So the passage is pointing forward to Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Also, you can not have Jesus death without His resurrection, because when He was raised from the dead, He was fulfilling scripture, and if He didn’t fulfill all the prophesies (the scripture), He wouldn’t be God’s son, and He wouldn’t be the chosen one.
