Hello, God has given me something in 1 Samuel 4:8 which says, “Woe to us! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? They are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the desert.”
So, what God has given me is, that the Philistines were afraid (they had just captured the Israelites) because the Israelites bring in the Ark of the Lord, and they think that the ark of God, is (I think) the ark of some gods, and those same gods that struck the plagues on the Egyptians. But really, it was God who struck the plagues on the Egyptians and set His people free (even though this time the Philistines fought and won, again), and that wasn’t the only time that God set His people free, He also set His people (us) free on the cross, where He took our sins, and died.
The Philistines said, “Woe to us!” because the ark of the Lord, so God brings (or has) love, and He also brings woe, He brought woe to Jesus on the cross, where He took our sin, and He gave us love at the cross, because He took His wrath (woe) on Jesus.
