Hello, God has given me something in 7:3 which says, “And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreth from among you and direct your heart to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” (ESV)
So, what God has given me is, that if we do NOT worship idols, and demons, and anything other than God, then He (God) will deliver us from our enemy’s, and because Jesus took OUR sin, and died on the cross, we can go to heaven. We can also trust God to deliver us from our enemy’s (the enemy’s could be something like, sin), because Jesus died on the cross for us, so if we can trust that He died on the cross for us, then we can trust that He will protect (deliver) us from our enemy’s.
If we worship gods (which I don’t, thankfully), and we want (need) God to deliver us, and help us, then we need to COMPLETELY GET RID OF THE idols, so that we can turn ALL our worship, to Jesus, and thank Him that He DID die on the cross for us, and that He DID take our sins off of us.
