Hello, God has given me something today in 1 Samuel 16:7 which says, “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his hight, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
So, what God has given me, is that we look at the appearances of people, not the heart, but God looks at the heart, and that is what happened at the cross, Jesus was perfect, and we were (and are) sinful, but Jesus took our sin, and made us perfect, then He died on the cross with our sin, so now we can live in peace, purity, and with love for Jesus.
The person that the passege is talking about is Eliab, because Samuel thought that Eliab would be the one the Lord would annoint, but really (I’ve tried to keep this a secret) David would be the next king, and he would rule pretty good, until, well thats another story, for now we know that David will be the one the Lord annoints in place of Saul, and for the first part of David’s rain, he will be a fairly good king, and Saul will try to kill him.
