Jonothan and David

Hello, God has given me something today in 1 Samuel 18:4 which says, “And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt.”

So, what God has given me, is that Jonathan is like Jesus, because he stripped himself of his armor, and gave it to David, and Jesus, at the cross, stripped Himself of glory, and gave it to us, so that we may become God’s (the kings) sons and daughters, “And Saul commanded his servants, “Speak to David in private and say, ‘Behold, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now then become the king’s son-in-law.'”

We become the king’s son or daughter, and get Jesus’ glory, and we get to worship Jesus, just like David got Jonathan’s armor and “glory” and got to be the king’s son-in-law, although this is just a shadow because Saul tries to kill David, because the women sang about how David killed tens of thousands, but Saul only killed thousands, though personally to me, killing zero would make me very happy.

So Jesus died on the cross with the clothes of our disgrace, and gave us His holy garments, and life, and gave us the right, of being the sons and daughters of Jesus.
