Jesus taking our punishment

Hello, God has given me something today in 1 Samuel 20:42 which says, “Then Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, because we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, ‘The LORD shall be between me and you, and between my offspring and your offspring, forever.'” And he rose and departed, and Jonathan went into the city.” (ESV)

So what God has given me, is, that David was going to be killed by Saul, but Jonathan saved him, because they were good friends Jonathan made signals for if Saul was angry and wanted to kill David, or if he was fine with David leaving, and Saul was angry and wanted to kill David, so Jonathan saved his life, doesn’t this remind you of Jesus? How He saved us from the wrath of God, and set us free from sin. Jonathan only told and warned David of what Saul wanted to do, so that David could leave, but Jesus took the punishment, He didn’t just tell us what was going to happen, He saved us from it.

Jonathan said to David, “…Go in peace, …” and Jesus gives us peace, He is the prince of peace, so (again) Jonathan is being like Jesus, so we can have peace, we can worship, we can be happy, we can rejoice, and we can thank God for sending His son, to die on the cross for us, and for ripping the curtain that separated us from God, in two, and for letting us come in, and worship Jesus freely, without having to be a high priest, that had just washed,  and changed into white clothes, because Jesus gave us His robe of righteousness, and let us enter into  the kingdom of God! YAY!

do you believe in Jesus, and do you believe that He died on the cross for your sins and my sins?
