Hello, God has given me something in 1 Kings 10:9 which says,

“Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king, to maintain justice and righteousness.”

We are not in hell, why? The verse above says that the wise king Solomon was put on his throne to maintain justice and righteousness, and since we have all sinned in one form or another, why aren’t we in hell? We deserve to die, but, Jesus died on the cross for us, He took all of God’s wrath, and He has given us eternal life. Mathew 25:46 says,

“And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Imagine you are a sheep, it is almost night, and you decide to take a little walk, ‘I won’t go to far.’ You think, so you walk along, and smell the pretty flowers, you love to feel the lovely grass beneath your hooves, and splash in the river, then the sun starts to go down, so you start to head home, but soon the moon comes out, and you have no idea where you are, you “Bahhh” and you call out for someone to save you, then you hear a low growl behind you, you run with all of your might, realizing that the wolf is right behind you, he gets closer, and closer, and closer, and then,  he grabs you, but, suddenly, the shepherd that had led you home so often after letting you graze, takes his staff, and hits the wolf hard on the head, then he carefully picks you up, and brings you back to the pasture. This is what happened to us, we start wandering around for a solution to our sin, and then the devil takes a hold of us, in our sin, but Jesus came, and died on the cross in our place, and brought us home to the pasture.

God loves us so much, that He gave us His only begotten son, to die on a cross for us, 1 Kings said that God had eternal love for Israel, but guess what, God has eternal love for us too, so much that He sent His only son to die on a cross for us.

Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross in our place for us?
