Hello, God has given me something in 1 Kings 11:11-12 which says,
“So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son.”
There is two pictures of the gospel here, the first is that Solomon’s son would be the one to lose most of the kingdom, so Solomon’s son is a picture of Jesus, and Solomon is a picture of us, we fell off in sin, and we were suppose to pay the punishment, but Jesus came, and He payed the punishment for our sins.
The second picture of the gospel, is, that David is a picture of the Holy-Spirit, and Solomon, again, is a picture of us, we sinned, and God became angry with us, but David pleaded with God, and God sent His son, or in this case, He said that Solomon’s son would take the punishment.
Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross in our place?
