Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 2:24 which says,
“He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.”
Never mock God, or God’s men. For Elisha, this was horrible. So, what do you do when you’re getting mocked because of your hair? Well, Elisha called a curse apon them, (this does NOT mean you should do the same thing, unless you KNOW it was Jesus talking to you, and tells you to do that) and that took care of it. In the end, for Elisha, it wasn’t to bad, but it sure was for the youths, they got mauled by the bears. I bet they never did that again, if they lived.
Imagine being mauled by a bear. Now imagine that 2 trillion times worse, and you might come close to what Jesus experienced at the cross. Jesus experienced #1 His father looking away from Him. #2 His own creations mocking Him. #3 Taking on all the sins of the whole world.
Jesus took our curse on the cross. He took all of our sins, and set us free… into His pasture. He died for us at the cross, and He gave us the right to go to heaven. We are now sons and daughters of God. He sent His only son for us, and set us into His pasture, where we can graze happily.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
