Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 7:1-2 which says,

“But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the LORD: thus says the LORD, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.” Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If the LORD himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

This officer did not fully trust God, he doubted that God could make the price of flour cheaper and lift a siege. With 2 words Jesus was able to knock down lots of soldiers,  John 18:6 says,

“When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.”

The translators added the “he” to “I am He” so really He said, “I am” and they all fell down. Yet this officer is doubting that God can make the price of food cheaper. We need to trust God, unlike the officer. Why do we need to trust God? Because God gave His only son for you and for me, Jesus gave up His own life. He died for us! He gave His own life.

We need to trust God because He is trustworthy, and because He gave us grace, and sent His son for us. God NEVER lies, and He never will lie, but He gave His own son for us. Thank you Jesus!
