Heal the sick

Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 8:7-8 which says,

“Elisha went to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram was ill. When the king was told, “The man of God has come all the wat up here,” he said to Hazeal, “Take a gift with you and go to meet the man of God. Consult the Lord through him; ask him, ‘Will I recover from this illness?’ “

This is what happened: Hazeal went and talked with Elisha, Elisha said that the king would get better but then would in fact die. Then the two looked at each other until Hazeal felt ashamed, then Elisha started to weep, and Hazeal asked why, so Elisha said that he was weeping because he knew what Hazeal would do, he would fight against Israel basically, and Hezeal asked how, a “dog” like him could do that, and Elisha said it was because Hazeal would become king. Then Hazeal went back to the king and told him that he would get better, then the next day he took a thick wet cloth and put it over the king’s face, and killed him.

How do we see the gospel? Well we are the king, we were sick in our sins and trespasses, actually we were dead in our sins, and we went begging to God for mercy, to heal us (this is a shadow, it isn’t a perfect replica) and God sent His son for us, and Jesus died for and set us free into His pasture, and now He is preparing a place in heaven for us. John 14:1-2 says,

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”

Jesus is preparing a place for us. And we can go to Heaven, because Jesus died for us, and gave His life for us. Thank you Jesus!! Thank you for dying for me!

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
