The Lord’s people

Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 12:17 which says,

“Jehoiada then made a covenant between the Lord and the king and the people that they would be the Lord’s people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.”

Lord’s people: Jehoiada is great! He said that the people were the Lord’s people, and then they all went and destroyed the temple of baal, and all the things baal had. This is a picture of the cross. Joash became king then, he was only seven years old, and he was the king! But he was a great king, he repairs the temple, and did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

The gospel: This is a picture of the cross. It is a shadow, it’s not perfect. We are the people, only before Johoiada anounced us the Lord’s people, and are sinful wretches. Then Jesus came, and He died on the cross for us, He gave us life, and made US the Lord’s people. Now, He helps us to destroy our idols, He helps us demolish our struggles, we still sin, but Romans 6:1-4 says that we do NOT need sin, we only need Jesus, and He died on the cross for us, and rose again three days later.

What can we do?: Now, we can got to Heaven, and worship Jesus! Thank You Jesus! We can go to Heaven, and until then we can worship Jesus!

Closing prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for dying on the cross for me. Thank You for giving Your life up for me. Thank You for letting me know You, and how You died on the cross for me. I pray that I would be closer to You, and love You more. Thank You for loving me, and for letting me live. IN Jesus’ Name Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
