Tear down

Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 23:12 which says,

“He pulled down the altars of the kings of Judah had erected on the roof near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts of the temple of the Lord. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley.”

No more evil: The he the passage is referring to would be Josiah, and he DESTROYED totally DEMOLISHED or CRUSHED, even OBLITARATED  the evil Asherah poles and the other evil things. He tore them down, obliterated them. I would say that everything would go fine if we did the same thing, woops, we can’t. Physical is sometimes easier than spiritual. Josiah was defeating the physical gods and Asherah poles. It is totally impossible to defeat our spiritual struggles on our own. All hope of that by ourselves has been crushed.

Gospel: We can’t and never could defeat our sin, so why have we done the crime but not payed the time? Because Jesus took our punishment for us. He “payed the time”, or took on all our sin, and died on the cross for us. He gave His own life for us. He helped us, He saved us. He is and was and alway’s will be the way to help us. John 14:6 says,

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Jesus: Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, He saved us. He die on the cross for us. He helps us to tear down our idols and sin, and build our brothers and sisters up.

Closing prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for giving your own life for me. I pray that I would be closer to You and love you more. Thank You so much for giving Your life for a wretch like me. I pray for the underground church, that they would be able to worship You with all their hearts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
