Hello, God has given me something in 2 Kings 24:20 which says,
“It was because of the LORD’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence.”
No sacrifice: God thrust His own people out of His sight. Why would God be so angry that He thrust His own people out of His sight? The Israelites’ kings sinned so much, that God got so angry, He thrust them out of His sight. He is loving, but there had not been a perfect sacrifice, a sacrifice that atoned for all their sin.
Gospel: Why haven’t we been pushed out of God’s sight? Why can we talk to Him? We aren’t perfect either. Here is the answer: Jesus! He gave His life for us. He loved us so much that He gave His own life for us! Jesus, the wonderful, awesome, almighty, great, holy, perfect, Son of God, gave His own life for a bunch of horrible, un-awesome, bad, un-holy, sinful, wretches. He gave His own life for us. He took on all the sins of the world, and He was crucified on a Roman torcher stick, for us, for the ones who were killing Him. John 3:16-17 says,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
Closing prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving Your own son for me. Thank You for letting me live, and sacrificing Your perfect, holy, wonderful, Son for me. I pray that I would thank You more. Thank You for giving Your own son for me, and for letting me even know about it. Thank You for dying for me, Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
