Hello, God has given me something in 1 Chronicles 3:4 which says,
“These six were born to David in Hebron, where he reigned seven years and six months. David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years…”
Reigned: David reigned a long time in Jerusalem. He was the great king. He was once a shepherd boy, but God used him in a mighty way. He was a mere shepherd boy, he wasn’t even sent out in the battle against goliath, but he ended up defeating the giant. God uses the smallet vessels sometimes for His use. This verse is telling us that David reigned a long time.
Gospel: How does this apply to the gospel? Well lets ask how can we be used by God, how would God let us be used by Him? There had to be a sacrifice, a perfect sacrfice. We are sinful, God wouldn’t use us unless we are sinless, so what happened to make it that we can be used? Jesus’ death and resurection! Jesus gave His life for us. He died and rose agian on the third day. Jesus died for us! Jesus uses us even the smallest weakes of us (Judges 6:15).
Worship: Jesus gave His own life for us, what are we going to do now? Worship Him! he gave His life for us so that we can live, and be the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). We should worship Jesus because of His death and ressurection.
Application: Jesus puts us in charge of many things. He puts of in charge of small things, and if we keep tight to that and use it, then God will put us in charge of many things. Jesus used the parable of the man who put his servants in charge of some bags of gold and the ones who did good were given kingdoms (Mathew 25:15).
Closing prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving Your own son for us. Thank You, Jesus, for not only humbling Yourself to being a man but being beating beyond recognition and dying on a Roman torcher stick for us that we might be the rightousness of God. I pray that I would love You more, and be closer to You. I pray that the believers in China would be encoureged and well-fed and be close to You. I pray that they would bring many more to You. Thank You for letting me know about Your death and ressurection. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
