Victory

Hello, God has given me something in 1 Chronicles 18:6 which says,

“He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought him tribute. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went.”

Tribute: This is talking about David’s victories. The people he defeated had to pay him tribute. The king of Tou sent his son with gifts to David because David defeated the people who Tou was fighting. David won many battles. He had victory over many people. But David’s victories weren’t won by himself, God gave David the victories wherever he went. God was the one who made him win.

The devil’s defeat and Jesus’ victory: We were in a very sinfully horrible condition. We were the devil’s pride and joy. Satan had appeared to win the fight. Then, Jesus came down and became sin for us, and He died for the sins of the whole world (1 John 4:10) that in Christ we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus gave His life for us so that we can live in Him. Thank You Jesus! Go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K7JiUEl23E to hear victory in Jesus.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving Your only son for us. Thank You, Jesus, for giving Your life up for us on the cross. I pray that I would love You more, draw close to You, and be kinder to those around me. Thank You for becoming sin for us and dying on the cross for us. I pray that I would follow Your example more. Thank You for making us Your sons and daughters, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Verses and passages:

Dying for the whole world, 1 John 4:10,

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Righteousness, 2 Corinthians 5:21,

“God made him who had no sin to be sinfor us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Beginning verse, 1 Chronicles 18:6,

“He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought him tribute. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went.”

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
