Hello, God has given me something in 2 Chronicles 6:3 which says,
King: The king blessed Israel, and then praised God. Solomon was repeating what God had said and done, then he blessed the whole assembly. The king blessed the people.
Us: We are mean, horrible (etc.) and we deserve to die and go to hell. But, if we do deserve to die and go to hell, then why haven’t we? I’ve got it! We must have tricked God, we looked good, and acted good when we needed to, and now God thinks that we are perfect all on our own, and we don’t have to go to hell.
“So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.” (Genesis 3:23)
Not perfect: Okay, so we didn’t look perfect in God’s eyes. Maybe we loved God so much, that He decided it would be okay to let us go.
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)
Not us: What! Are you telling me that we are blessed by God because He sent the sacrifice? No, no, no, that has to be wrong, it’s to easy. All we have to do is ask God for forgiveness, and the person we might have sinned against? I thought we couldn’t even talk to God, nevertheless ask Him for forgiveness. How can this be?
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
Sin: Oh, so we can just keep sinning because our sins are paid? By no means. Jesus did pay for our sins, but not so that we could just keep on sinning lustfully. We have flesh, so we do sin, but not the lustful, uncontrollable sin, that the heathens have. We have the Holy-Spirit living in us now. He helps us overcome all fear, and habitual sin. How does He help us overcome fear?
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)
Perfect love: Oh, so perfect love drives out all fear. So what does this have to do with blessings? Jesus loves us so much that He came down and died on the cross for us, then He rose again blessing our lives. He blessed us by dying and rising again on the third day. Jesus died for us and let us go to heaven! Thank You Jesus! Then king has blessed us.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving Your only son to die on the cross for us. Thank You for blessing us Jesus. I pray that I would draw close to You, and talk to You more. I pray that I would think of You today. I pray that You would send a revival all around the world, and open people’s eyes, ears, and hearts to the gospel. Thank You for loving us so much. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
