Enemies conquered

Hello, God has given me something in 2 Chronicles 20:27 which says,

“Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies.”

Jehoshaphat: Jehoshaphat heard that three different armies were joining together to attack Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat was scared, so he went to God for help. Then he declared a day of fasting, and all the people of Judah came to Jerusalem. When they were all there, they waited, and then God spoke through one of the people. God said that they should not be afraid. So, Jehoshaphat took all the people to a desert. Meanwhile, God had set up an ambush for the three armies, first two of the armies destroyed the other one, and then they helped to destroy each other. When Jehoshaphat and the people looked down at the dead bodies, they went down and took all the plunder, which took three days. One the fourth day, they all rejoiced, for God had given them something to rejoice about.

Us: We are horrible sinners, worthy of death, and hell. We seemed hopeless. We are wicked, evil, spiteful, malicious, angry, revolting, despising, rebelling, hating, horrible, bad, wretches. We are in Satan’s kingdom with almost no hope of getting out. So, since we are so evil, why haven’t we gotten what we deserve? Why haven’t we died?

Answer: Jesus is the answer! Jesus is the hope-giving, perfect, pure, kind, man-drawing, loving, calming, wonderful, good, Son of God. Jesus saved us from our sin by dying on the cross for us! How? Jesus took on our sin, He actually became sin, and died on the cross for us! Thank You Jesus!

Application: How does 2 Chronicles 20:27 apply to our lives? Jesus died on the cross, crushing Satan, now, we can rejoice. Jesus saved us, so we should celebrate. Thank You Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving Your son for us. Thank You for loving me so much. I pray that I would draw close to You. I pray that I would be willing to suffer for You. Thank You for making me Your child. I pray that I would love You more, and talk with You more. Thank You for all that You’ve done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
