Left over

Hello, God has given me something in 2 Chronicles 31:9-10 which says,

“Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps; and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok, answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the LORD has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”

Much: The people were bringing contributions, and they brought so much, that heaps formed, and Hezekiah noticed and asked what they were. And the Levites told him that the people had brought so much, that they had a great amount left over, because the Lord had  blessed His people.

Us: We are sinking deep in sin (Go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32H0gXaasDI for Love lifted me). We are stuck in sin like a bunny in sinking sand. We are caught in the trap of sin. What are we going to do?

Jesus: Jesus is our answer. He went into that pit, and rescued us out. He came down to earth, and gave His own life for us on the cross. Jesus saved the world full of sinning wretches. He saved us! Jesus, the perfect, holy, son of God, gave His life for a bunch of sinning wretches. Thank You Jesus!

Application: How does 2 Chronicles 31:9-10 apply to our lives? We are God’s people, and even though it may not seem like it, He has blessed us in so many ways. He gave His son for us to die on the cross, He has let us talk with Him, and so many other things. Though, sometimes it seems like God just can’t make a way. That is what the Disciples thought too. They didn’t think that Jesus could feed 5 thousand people (Mathew 14:20). God has given us so much, that we have more than much left over, sometimes we go through difficulties, but God was carrying us the whole way.

Story: Before we pray, I have a story. Once there was a man who had a dream. In that dream he saw his life story played out in the sky, he saw footprints in the sand, but in the hard times, he only saw one pair of footprints. He said to God, “God, I don’t get it. I see two pairs of footprints when things seemed okay, but when I needed You the most, I only see one.” God replied, “Dear son, I never left you. When you see only one pair of footprints, know that I was carrying you.”

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for caring for me. I pray that I would draw close to You, and love You more. Please help me to have a longing for Your word. Please strengthen me, and help me. Please help me to long to talk with You. Thank You for making me Your daughter. In Jesus name, Amen.

Verse(s):

Left over, Mathew 14:20,

Beginning verses, 2 Chronicles 31: 9-10,

“Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps; and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok, answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the LORD has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”
