He hears

Hello, God has given me something in Ezra 4:18 which says,

“The letter you sent us has been read and translated in my presence.”

Translated: The people were building the temple of the Lord. And some people sent a letter to the king that if they looked, they would find a bad history of the people. The letter was read and translated in the king’s presence. The king heard the letter and replied that they found the bad history of the people (rebellion). They stopped building the temple.

Listened: We can talk to God. We pray to Him, and He hears us. He listens to us. Unbelievers cry out, and if they do not truly believe, there is no answer for them. But if they truly believe, they are saved, and can cry out to God whenever they want. God will listen. Why not become a believer and be accepted into the kingdom?

Christians: As Christians, we should do things. We need to cry out to God. Satan will attack us, and if we flee to Christ, then we will be rescued. Cry out to Him for everything You need, He will provide. We also need to spread the good news of the Gospel.

God: God is a wonderful God, He loves us so much that He gave His own son for us. Praise God’s name, exalt Him. He is a mighty God, He listens to us, give Him praise. Love Him, and cry out to Him. Give Him all your praise, He deserves so much more than our love, but give it to Him. Give Him your life.

Gospel: What is the Gospel? It is that Jesus Christ came down to earth and gave His life for us on the cross. Jesus loves us so much, that He was born of a virgin, and gave His life for us. Some people say that the gospel is not very important, and that it is only baby food, but that is wrong. Jesus saved us from our sins, that is of first importance. Jesus’ death on the cross paid for our sin. It is what united all true believers.

Application: How does Ezra 4:18 apply to our lives? Some people sent a letter and it was translated in the king’s presence. We pray to God, and God listens to us, because Jesus is making us holy. We are accepted because of the “translator”, or Jesus. Because Jesus gave His life for us, we are accepted into the Kingdom of God.

Pray: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for dying on the cross for me. Thank You for loving me so much. I pray that I will love You more. Please help me to draw close to You. Please help me to run to You for help, and help me to cry out for You. Please strengthen me, and help me to grow in You. Thank You for saving me, and making me Your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beginning verse, Ezra 4:18,

“The letter you sent us has been read and translated in my presence.”
