God is watching

Hello, God has given me something in Ezra 5:5 which says,

“But the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received.”

Not stopped: The people were building the temple of God. The Governor didn’t like that, but God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they could not be stopped until a report could go to Darius, and the written reply from Darius received. God watched over, and protected His people. God’s protection was/is better than any man’s power.

Christians: Christians are heard by God, and we are protected by God. Peter was in prison, and the Angel unlocked the gates, and took him out. Even though we may be in the hands of men at times, we are still protected by God. Why not come and join us and have God’s loving eyes watching over you?

What to do: As Christians we need to do things. One of those things is building up the kingdom. God is watching over us, and even if He calls us home, we make a testimony to our faith. We might not all be led out of prison by an angel should we be put in, sometimes going to be with Jesus is just as great a testimony because we were willing to die for Christ. He gave His life for us, so we should be willing to give our lives for Him.

God: God is a glorious God, He is merciful and just, and He watches over us, with loving eyes, looking to whose hearts are fully committed to Him that He may strengthen them (2 Chronicles 16: (part of) 9). Praise God, praise His holy name, for He loves us so much. Give Him thanks, and love Him with all Your heart. God is a great God, and He loves us so much. Give Him praise.

Gospel: What is the Gospel? Some say it’s useless, other that we are past that point in Christianity. So what is the truth? It is that Jesus came down to earth, was born of a virgin, was beaten beyond recognition, and died on the cross for us. He gave His life for us. Jesus loves us so much.

Application: How does Ezra 5:5 apply to us? We are building the church of God by spreading the Gospel, and God is watching over us, strengthening us, and touching the hearts of others. No matter what we are safe in the arms of Jesus.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for sending Your son for us. I pray that I would draw close to You. Please help me to run to You, and be fully committed to You. Please help me to love You more, and grow in You. Please strengthen me, and help me to be more like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse(s):

Strengthens, 2 Chronicles 16: (part of) 9,

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

Beginning verse, Ezra 5:5,

“But the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received.”

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
