Stay away

Hello, God has given me something in Ezra 6:6 which says,

“Now then, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and you other officials of that province, stay away from there.”

Tattenai: Tattenai was the governor of Trans-Euphrates, and he did not want the people to build the temple of God. So, he sent a letter to the king, but the king made things worse. He said that everything should be provided for those who were building the temple, and that Tattenai, Shethar-Bozenai, and the other officials of that province should stay away from there. The enemies had to stay away from those who were building the temple. Our enemy only has the power to do anything if God says He can.

Christians: Christians have one main enemy, but if God says that He cannot touch us, then He cannot. We are protected by God, and we can continue to build up the church of God. Why not be protected, and sheltered in loving arms by God? He is almighty, and He is mighty to save.

What to do: Christians do have to do things. We have to trust in God. When people persecute us, it seems like it would be much easier to show them your power, and to quiet them by yourself. But we need to trust in God to do that part. He can do all things, including softening the heart of stone. We need to trust in God, and spread the Good news of the Gospel.

God: God is a great and mighty God. He is almighty, praise His holy name. He loves us so much, give Him your life. Love Him with all of Your heart and commit fully to Him. Give Him praise for all that He has done. He is a great God. Thank You God! He gave His son for us.

Gospel: The Gospel is that Jesus came down to earth, was born of a virgin, was beaten beyond recognition, and died on the cross for, us. He died for a sinful bunch of rebelling wretches. He died for a world full of wretches. We deserved death, but He died for us. Thank You Jesus!

Application: How does Ezra 6:6 apply to us? We are building the temple of God, and people try to stop us from doing that. But God sends encouragement. He provides what we need, and He loves us. He strengthens us. Thank You Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for giving Your son for us. Please help me to love You more, and draw close to You. Please strengthen me, and help me to grow in You. Help me to be more and more like You. Thank You for making me Your daughter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beginning verse, Ezra 6:6,
