What God did

Hello, God has given me something in Ezra 6:22 which says,

“For seven days they celebrated with joy the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.”

Celebration: The people celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread with joy. Why? Because of what God did. He had changed the attitude of the king of Assyria so that he assisted them in building the house of God. The king of Assyria helped them. Because of what God did, the people rejoiced.

Christians: Christians can rejoice in what God did for us, because we know that it applies to us. God gave His son for us. It applies to us. Believers know that they are saved and that they are headed for heaven. This does not apply for unbelievers. Unbelievers do not believe in God’s son, which means they do not believe in what God did, which means they are not going to heaven. Why not come and believe, and know what God did for us.

What to do: In Christianity we are to do things. In application to the passage we are to rejoice around the Gospel and what Jesus did. He gave His life for us, it is a reason to rejoice. We unite and rejoice around the Gospel. Thank You Jesus for what You did for us. We should also build the kingdom, and spread the Good news of the Gospel.

God: God is the wonderful God. He is almighty, and deserves all of our lives. Give Him thanks, love Him with all Your heart. He has don so much for us, He gave His son for us on the cross, and gave us a reason to rejoice. Thank You God. Give thanks for what He has done for us. Give Him Your life.

Gospel: The Gospel is the most important message of how our savior came down to earth and gave His life for us. He loves us so much, that He gave His own life for us. Some say it is not important, or that it is only the beginning of Christianity. They are wrong. It is of first importance, the message of our salvation.

Application: How does Ezra 6:22 apply to our lives. Here is what it says,

“For seven days they celebrated with joy the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel.”

How does it apply to us? We are to celebrate with joy our salvation. Jesus died for us, and saved us out of our sin, and we are to rejoice. Rejoice in Christ, for He has saved us from our sins, and has given us new life in Him.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving us so much. Thank You for giving Your son for us. I pray that I would draw close to You, and love You. Please help me to long to be with You. Please help me to be more and more like You, and draw close to You. Thank You for making me Your daughter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
