Observation

Hello, God has given me something in Ezra 7:10 which says,

“For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.”

Ezra: Ezra was the great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandson of Aaron, the chief priest. He was helped by the king. He was well versed in the law of Moses. God’s hand was on Ezra. Ezra had also devoted himself to the observation of the law. He was a Godly man. He traveled five months to get to Jerusalem, and the king granted him everything he asked. God’s gracious hand was upon Ezra.

Christians: Often times, God’s hand is upon true Christians. Like Ezra we are vessels used by God. He holds us in His hand, and no one can take us out. He is not holding us in anger, He loves us. Why not come, and be in the hand of God. Why not become a Christian, and grow in Christ? He loves us so much, that He gave His own life for us. Why not come and be held in His loving hand? Why not come and see the scars of love on Him?

What to do: Christians should do things. One of the things we do not do, is to say that we are under the law. Ezra was under the law, and therefore was right in observing it, but we aren’t. We are no longer under the law. What we should do is to build the kingdom, and bring the worship of Christ to people. Ezra brought the worship of God in, so should we. We should worship Christ, and spread the Gospel. We should give our lives to Him, and observe the Gospel, and His word.

God: God is the holy, almighty, loving, God. He loves us so much. Worship His holy name, and give Him praise. Give your life to Him. Praise Him, and love Him. He works through us, how amazing is that? He deserves so much more, and when we are in Heaven we can praise Him for eternity. He should be exalted above all, He gave His son for us. He gave us life, and He uses us to spread the Good news of the Gospel. Thank You God, for all that You’ve done!

Application: How does Ezra 7:10 apply to us? Ezra taught the law, and observed it. Jesus came, fulfilled, and destroyed it. And we, now, observe the Gospel, and teach the Gospel. Jesus died for us making us perfect and taking away our sin, not so we could say that we must still fulfill the law. We now teach our salvation, and how Jesus gave His own life, to save wretches sinners. Now, in heaven, Ezra no longer teaches the law, he worships God, and thanks God for all the He has done.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for giving You son. I pray that I would draw close to You, and love Your more. Please help me to long to be with You, and to grow in You. Please help me to observe Your love, and how You died for me. I pray that You would send a revival, and help people all over the world to see that You are God. Please strengthen believers all over the world, including me. Help me to acknowledge more of You, and Your love. Please help me to be more and more awestruck and all that You have done, and will do for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
