Hello, God has given me something in Nehemiah 3:3 which says,

“The Fish Gate was rebuilt by the sons of Hassenaah. They laid its beams and put its doors and bolts and bars in place.”

Build: This is pretty much the summary of Nehemiah 3. It mainly talks about people repairing Jerusalem. Nehemiah and the people started repairing. The people helped. If Nehemiah was going to do it all by himself, I’m sure it would have taken him a much longer, and harder time. But most of the people stepped up and helped out. Even though some others ridiculed them, they continued building.

Christians: I’ve said before that if one christian stumbles and falls, the other should help him up. This is a good picture of Christians. We  work together and help each other. Why not come and join us? Why not start building the church? God is mighty to save, and He can and will save you if you ask. He is the Good Shepherd, and He can save you. He will pick up His lost sheep and bring that sheep home. So why not come and be a Christian? He will take you in, and save you out of your sin.

What to do: Here is one thing, in application to this passage, that we are to do: Repair our hearts. Nehemiah and the people repaired Jerusalem. Our hearts have broken, and with the power of Christ, we can repair our hearts. Jesus is really the one doing it, but we do need to cry out to Him to help us. Nehemiah said that the gracious hand of God was upon him, and God’s hand can be on us too. Cry out to Christ to repair our hearts. He will repair you, He is faithful, and He would never ever leave a sheep behind.

God: God is gracious, and loving. He is faithful and almighty. He can and will repair our hearts, so give thanks with a grateful heart. He gave His own son to save us, and repair us from our sins. Love Him with all your heart, and give Him all your praise and thanks. Thank You, Lord, for giving Your son to save us. Thank Jesus, for He gave His own life, that we might become new creations in Him, and be forgiven from all of our sins. He repaired us from the horrible sin that tore us apart. Thank You, Jesus!

Application: How does Nehemiah 3:3 apply to us? Our hearts had been torn apart by Satan, like Jerusalem. If we cry out to God, like Nehemiah to the people, then He will repair our hearts, like the people helped repair Jerusalem. Our hearts have been renewed in Christ. Thank You, Jesus! Now, help others to cry out to Christ, and have their hearts repaired and renewed. Help them to cry out and become new creations in Christ. Jesus has repaired and renewed our hearts, by His being torn apart and broken. Thank You, Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving Your son for us. Thank You for loving us so much. I pray that I would draw close to You, and love You more. Please help me to cry out to You. Please repair and renew my heart in You. Please strengthen me, and other believers all around the world. Please help me to long to be with You, and help me to grow in You. Thank You for making me Your daughter, and for making me a new creation in You. Please repair unbelievers hearts around the world, and help them to come to know You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
