Do not blot out

Hello, God has given me something in Nehemiah 13:14,

“Remember me for this, my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services.”

Nehemiah: Nehemiah had helped Israel. He had the gates closed, and had some of his men put there so that no one would get in and sell things to the Israelites on the Sabbath. When some of those with goods camped outside of the gates, Nehemiah told that he would arrest them if they did it again. Nehemiah was asking God not to blot him out, for all he had done so faithfully done for the house of his God.

Christians: Christians are not blotted out from the book of Life. We are saved. Jesus has saved, us and now , we are going to heaven. Unbelievers are not saved. There names are not in the book of Life. So, why not be saved today? Why not join us? Why not become a Christian, and be saved? Jesus will love you. The Shepherd can find you, just call out to Him. He will bring you back to the flock. Call out to the Good Shepherd.

What to do: Here is one thing that we are supposed to do as Christians: Cry out to God. Nehemiah cried out to God, and asked God not to blog his (Nehemiah’s) name out. He asked God to remember him, for what he had faithfully done. Cry out to God. He is always there for us, He will always hear our prayers. Whenever something is wrong, or Satan is tempting us, we can call out to God. Cry out to Him. Also, fellowship with other believers. And read the Word of God. Cry out to Christ in times of trouble and need.

God: God is so good. He is so good, that He even gave His own son to save us from our sins. He has loved us so much. Give Him thanks, and praise Him. He is so good to us, so praise Him with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind. He has given His own son for us. Jesus has given His life for us, to save us out of our sins. He has given His life to be the sacrifice for a world full of sinning, wretched sinners. He was crucified by those he came to save. He has loved us so much.

Application: How does Nehemiah 13:14 apply to us? Nehemiah prayed the his name would not be blotted out. But Jesus, who was dying on a cross for us, prayed that those who were crucifying Him would be forgiven. He has saved us, and made it so that our names were not blotted out of the book of life. Nehemiah asked God not to blot him out because of what He had done. We are not blotted out because of what Jesus has done. Now, we are going to heaven. We are saved because of what Jesus has done.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for not blotting our names out. Thank You for saving us. Please help me to know You more, and love You more. Please help me to draw close to You. Please help me to grow in, and more like You. Thank You for making me Your daughter, and for giving Your son for me. Please strengthen me in You, and help me to cry out to You more. Please strengthen other believers, and send a revival. Thank You for doing so much for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
