Wives

Hello, God has given me something in Esther 1:22 which says,

“He sent dispatches to all parts of the kingdom, to each province in its own script and to each people in their own language, proclaiming that every man should be ruler over his own household, using his native tongue.”

Submit: King Xerxes had sent for Queen Vashti to come in wearing her royal crown, but, Queen Vashti refused. Angry, King Xerxes asked experts what to do. One of them suggested that the King depose Vashti, and replace her with someone better than her. He said that other women would say to their husbands, “King Xerxes commanded Queen Vashti to be brought before him, but she would not come.”. Other women would not be submitting to their husbands.

Christians: Christians submit to Christ. He is our leader, and our head. We should submit to Him as He leads. He has given us His life for us, and is our head. So, why not be saved. Why not be saved by the shepherd, and then led by the shepherd? He will lead you, and love you. He is kind. So, why not be saved from sins, and led out of slavery? He can and will save you.
What to do: The main exhortation in this passage is for wives. Wives are to submit to their husbands, as they submit to Christ (Ephesians 5:22). Christ is the head of the church, and of men. And husbands are the head of wives (Ephesians 5:23). Wives need to submit to their husbands in any decision unless, the husband is asking for the wife to sin. Wives should submit to their husbands and Christ.

God: God is so good. He has given His own son for us on the Cross. He has loved us so much. He has made us new and pure. Christ has given His own life for us. He has laid down His life as a sacrifice for us sinners. Give thanks to Him, and praise Him with all yourself. Give thanks to Him, for He is our savior. He loves even when and if no one else does. He is so loving to us, that He gave His life for us. Thank You, Jesus!

Application: How does Esther 1:22 apply to us? Queen Vashti was deposed, because she did not submit to her husband. We were sinners, not submitting to God, worthy of death, but Christ came, and took our punishment. And now, we should submit to God. Wives should submit to their husbands, and to God. Jesus to our punishment on the cross, and made us new, like the new queen that is to come. He has purified us, and now we should submit to Christ. Jesus has saved us!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for giving Your son for us. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to submit to You. Please help me to grow in You, and more like You. Please strengthen me in You, and please strengthen other believers. Please send a revival, so that unbelievers may know You. Thank You for making me Your daughter. Thank You for doing so much for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
