Hello, God has given me something in Job 33:24 which says,

“and he is gracious to that person and says to God,
    ‘Spare them from going down to the pit;
    I have found a ransom for them —”

Elihu: This is Elihu talking to Job. He said that if Job wouldn’t answer then Elihu would show him wisdom. He told Job to listen to him, and pay attention to what he had to say. He said that he heard the very words “‘I am pure, I have done no wrong;
    I am clean and free from sin.” He continued with the words he had heard. He said that God sometimes did things twice or three times to a person to drive him away from the pit. He said that they draw near to the pit, yet is one out of a thousand messengers come sent to tell them how to be upright and he is gracious to that person, and says to God spare them from the pit because they found a ransom for him, then let their flesh be renewed like a child. So the angel the messenger tells God to spare them because he has found a ransom, then they might be saved.

Christians: Christians have been saved from sins. We are no longer stuck in our sins. We are free from our sins. But, unbelievers still need help. They are still stuck in their sins. So, if you are an unbeliever then come to Christ. If you come to Christ then you will be saved from your sins. He is the savior, and He is mighty to save. If you come to Christ, then He will save you. Come to Jesus, and He will rescue you. Why wouldn’t you want to come and be saved by Christ. Come to the savior!

What to do: Here is one thing (in application to this passage) that we are to do as Christians: Be the messenger of the Gospel. The angel that might come, would said to God to spare the person, because they found a ransom. We should help others to see the ransom, or Jesus. We can say to the unbelievers, “I know of a ransom for your sins”, and we can show them Christ. So, let’s help them to see Christ. Let’s not be hogs of the Gospel, others need it, and sooner or later, God will find someone else who will share the Gospel.

God: God is so good, He gave His own son for us. Let’s praise His name. Let’s give thanks. Jesus has given His life for us. Let’s praise Him,  and rejoice in Him. Let’s give our lives to Him, and love Him. Let’s love Him with all of our hearts. “Give thanks with a grateful heart”. He has loved us so much, so let’s love Him. He gave His life for us, so let’s be willing to give our lives for Him. He has given us His Holy-Spirit for us. Thank You, Jesus!

Application: How does Job 33:24 apply to us? We were headed to the pit, or hell. We were going to die. But, Jesus the angel, or the messenger came, and He gave His life as the ransom, and He took God’s wrath onto Himself, and He died for us. He saved us by giving His own life for us! Thank You, Jesus! So, now, we are children of God, because Jesus became our ransom. He ransomed us, and He paid the price. He took the punishment for us, and He has saved us! Let’s praise Him, because He has saved us.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving Your son for us. Thank You for blessing me so much. Thank You for giving us Your Holy-Spirit. Thank You for ransoming us. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to rejoice in You. Please help me to be more thankful. Please help me to walk and talk with You more. Please help me to draw close to You and love You more. Please help me to run to You in time of trouble. Please help me not to be proud. Please help me to go to You every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beginning verse, Job 33:24,

“and he is gracious to that person and says to God,
    ‘Spare them from going down to the pit;
    I have found a ransom for them —”

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
