Deliver Me

Hello, God has given me something in Psalms 6:4 which says,

“Turn,(A) Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.(B)”

David asked god to have mercy on him and heal him. He asked God how long.  Then he asked God to deliver him and save him because of God’s unfailing love. David said that he was worn out from his groaning and he flooded his bed with tears. He said his eyes grew weak with sorrow, because of his foes. He told the wicked to get away from him for God heard his weeping and his cry for help, and he accepted David’s prayer. He said that his enemies would be overwhelmed with shame and anguish, and they would turn back and suddenly be put to shame. David asked God to save him because of His unfailing love. He asked God to turn deliver him. David was crying out to God to deliver him, and save him from his enemies. David had wept much, and he cried out to God. Then he tells the wicked to get away from him because God did hear him, and he did deliver him. God listened to David, and He saved Him.

Christians have been saved from sins. God has delivered us, like He delivered David. We were crying in sin, but Jesus came down to earth and gave His life and rose again to save us from sin. Now, we are God’s children. We are saved, and Christ has delivered us with His unfailing love. But, unbelievers are still stuck in sin. They still need help. So, if you are an unbeliever then why not come to Jesus? Why not be loved by the lover, and experience Christ’s unfailing love. Come to Jesus and live.

Christians should not only help unbelievers to see Christ, but we should also praise the Lord. He has delivered us from our sin, and shown us unfailing love, so let’s praise Him, and give thanks to Him. Let’s rejoice in Jesus for He has given His life to save us from our sins. He has loved us, and given His own life for us. Let’s love the Father, for He has given Christ for us, and loved us (John 3:16). Let’s give our lives to the one who gave His life for us. Let’s praise Him. Let’s thank God for giving us the Holy-Spirit. Thank You, Jesus!

Application: How does Psalms 6:4 apply to us? We were like David. We were crying our in our sin, and God delivered us. He gave His own son as a sacrifice for our sin, and He has delivered us and saved us, shown us unfailing love, and given us the Holy-Spirit. We were delivered like David was.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me. Thank You for giving Your son for me, and saving me. Thank You for giving me the Holy-Spirit. Thank You for blessing me so much. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to walk and talk with You more. Please help me to run to You for help. Please help me to have a hunger for Your word. Please help me to draw close to You. Please strengthen me in You. Please help me to be more thankful. Please help me not to be proud. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love, John 3:16,

“For God so loved(A) the world that he gave(B) his one and only Son,(C) that whoever believes(D) in him shall not perish but have eternal life.(E)”

Beginning verse, Psalms 6:4,

“Turn,(A) Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.(B)”

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
