Hello, the sermon today was not full of the Gospel. So here is hopefully a better more Gospel teaching of Acts 27:13-26. If you read that passage you can see that Paul and some others are on a boat in a storm. To get to the Gospel, the boat is a picture of a sinner. The sinner is tossed about by the waves, with no hope. But, then on the third day someone comes and gives you hope, he says that the price has been paid (or that God said you would live). Then the sinner is saved! We were sinners in the sinful, stormy sea of sin, in our sinking ship of sinfulness. Then Jesus came and died, and on the third day, He rose again, giving us a reason for hope. He has saved us!
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
