Refuge

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 46:1-3 which says,

“God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]”

The Sons of Korah are writing here. They are saying that God was their refuge. They said that they will not fear, because God was their refuge. They would not fear if the waters roared, if the mountains quaked, or if the earth gave way. With God as their refuge and strength, then they did not have to fear.

We used to have a reason to fear. It was death. But now, we don’t have to fear death. Why? Because Jesus took our death for us. He died in our place, with all of our sins, and He forgave us. Yes, on earth we do die, but believers go to heaven. We do not have to fear death, for God is our refuge, and we will go to heaven to be with him when we die. He gave His own son for us in our place.

Unbelievers still have a reason to be afraid of death, because they are not going to heaven. If you are an unbeliever, then why not come to Christ. He will make you new. He will let you have no reason to really be afraid. He will love you, and make you new. The Sons of Korah, said that they were not afraid because God was their refuge, and strength. Believers have God as their refuge, and their strength, but unbelievers don’t. Are you an unbeliever? If so then why not come to Christ, He will help you.

Praise God! He has given us His own son or us. He has given us the Holy-Spirit. He has loved us so much, so let’s praise Him! He has given us a reason not to fear, so let’s praise Him. He has become our refuge and our strength (Philippians 4:13), let’s give thanks! He has done so much for us. He has given His very own son for us! God be praised! He has done so much for us, so let’s give thanks with a grateful heart! “Praise God from whom all blessings flow”. Thank You, Jesus! Praise the Lord!

Believers should spread the Good news with others. We should let others see that they don’t have to be afraid, but instead they can be loved, and they can praise the Lord! Let’s spread the Gospel to others! Let’s go share the Good-news with others. Let’s praise God, and help others to see the Gospel. Let’s be Gospel-givers!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving me Your son. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for making me Your daughter. Please help me to praise You! Please strengthen me, and help me to run to You as my refuge. Thank You for blessing me so much. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to grow in You. Please help me not to be so proud. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
