Payment is Never Enough

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 49:8-9 which says,

“the ransom for a life is costly,
    no payment is ever enough—
so that they should live on forever
    and not see decay.”

The Sons of Korah are saying that pretty much no sacrifice for sin is enough. They are saying that no one can live forever.   According to them, ransom is costly, and no payment is enough to atone for sins forever. In the Old Testament people had to offer sacrifices to atone for their sin. Every day they had to offer at least one sacrifice. Whenever something special was going to happen, then offered a sacrifice. They had to offer sacrifices every day, so of course the sons of Korah said that no one sacrifice was enough.

We can prove the sons of Korah wrong. How can we do that? By showing them the cross. Jesus came down to earth, and He lived a perfect life, then He died on the cross in our place. He was the perfect atoning sacrifice. He atoned for our sins… FOREVER ! Now, we are saved. He has made us new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). He has atoned for our sins. He actually gave His own life for us on the cross! He really loves us! Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the Cross is enough to atone for our sins.

Unbelievers are not atoned for. Are you an unbeliever? If you are, then why not come to the savior? He will save you, love you, give you peace, give you joy, and He will make you a child of God. So, come to the Lord, if you are longing to be loved, and saved. You can stop wandering today, you can come to God. Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Come to Jesus to be saved!

Believers should help unbelievers to see Christ. We need to help others see what Jesus has done for us. Let’s share the Good-news of the Gospel. Let’s spread the Gospel! Let’s be busy bees for the Gospel, sharing nectar with the wilting flowers. Jesus sent His disciples out, so let’s also go out to help others see what Jesus has done for us.

Praise God! God is worthy of praise. He has proven the sons of Korah wrong as far as the verses above. God be praised! He has loved us, and atoned for our sins. Praise the Lord! Give thanks, for He has done so much for us! Thank You, Jesus! Thank God! Praise the Lord!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for all that You have done for me, like atoning for my sin. Please help me to be more thankful for what You have done for me. Please help me to share the Gospel with others. Please help me to praise You more. Thank You for making me Your daughter. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to grow in You more. Please help me to be more like You. Please help me to rejoice in You. Thank You for blessing me so much. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verses:

New creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17,

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!”

The only way to God, John 14:6,

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Beginning verses, Psalm 49:8-9,

“the ransom for a life is costly,
    no payment is ever enough—
so that they should live on forever
    and not see decay.”

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
