Hide Your Face, and Make a New Spirit

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 51:9-10 which says,

“Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

David is writing here, after He committed adultery with Bathsheba.  He asked God pretty much to forget his sin. He also asked God to blot out his iniquity. He asked God to make a pure heart in him, and renew a steadfast spirit in him. He wanted God to forgive him from his sin of adultery and murder of Uriah. He asked God to hide His face from David’s sin.

We needed God to hide His face from our sin. But, we deserved to die. Why would He turn His face from our sin? Because He turned His face from His own son. He put Jesus, His own son, on the cross for us. He put all of His wrath on Jesus. He loved us so much that He gave His own son for us. He turned His face away from our sins.

Unbelievers are not saved. Are you an unbeliever? If you are, then please come to Jesus. He will save you. He will give you strength to overcome temptations. Come to the Lord! Come to God, and He will save you. Just come to God if you want to be saved. He will turn His face to you, and He will see His son, if you just believe in Jesus. He will make a new spirit in you if you come to Him.

Believers should spread the Good-News. Men should preach, but women should just teach. Let’s share the Gospel with others. Let’s help them to see that God turned His face away from His son, so that we could live. He loved us, so let’s help others to see that love.

Praise God! God has given His own son for us. He has turned His face away from our sin, and He has made us new in Him, so let’s praise Him! Let’s give thanks, for He has given His son for us. Let’s give thanks to Jesus, for He has died for us in our place. God be praised! Thank You, Lord!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for giving Your own son for me, and thank You for making me Your daughter. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to grow in You. Please help me to be more and more like You. Please help me to be more thankful. Please help me to praise You more. Please help me to spread the Gospel to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
