Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 80:7 which says,
“Restore us, God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.”
Asaph is asking that God restore them. He wants God’s face to shine on them. That seems perfectly logical right? They are “forced to drink tears by the bowlful” then that probably means they are weeping, and they want to be restored. They want God’s face to shine on them, and then they would be saved. Asaph knew that if God shined His face on them, then they would be saved.
If God shined His face on us, then we would be restored and saved. See, we are dying in our sin. We are diminishing. We need help and we need it fast. Then, God sent His son, and He endured God’s wrath. God turned His face away from His own son, and turned His face to us. How? God can’t bear to look at sin, so why did He look at us? Because Jesus took all our sin on Him, and God turned His face away from Jesus. God shined His face at us, and He restored us. He saved us! The Christian life won’t be all “smiles from God” though. Someone once said something like, “If all you get is sun, you get a desert”. But, Jesus has still saved us!
Unbelievers aren’t believing in what Jesus did. Are you and unbeliever? If so, then why don’t you come to Christ? Why not be saved from your sin? Why not be rescued by Christ? He can save you. If you come to Him, then God will shine His face on you, and you will be saved from your sin, and restored in Christ. He can rescue you. So, just come to Him. Just be saved by the savior. No man can help you without offering you Christ. Go to Jesus and you will be saved from your sin.
Praise God! Let’s all praise God! He is so worthy of praise. Praise the Lord! Give thanks for all that He has done for us. He has shown us so much love and mercy. He has saved us. Let’s praise Him! Let’s praise Jesus, for He has given His own life to save us from sin. He took on our sin and died in our place. Praise God! He has shown His face to us, and He has saved us and made us new. Praise Him!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly father,
