Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 82:2 which says,
Asaph is asking God how long He would defend the unjust. It seems like a perfectly logical question right? Why would God defend the unjust? Why would He show partiality to the wicked? In the Old Testament people had to offer sacrifices to God to pay the price for their sin, but one was never enough. So, why would God defend the unjust, those who don’t offer sacrifices?
Why would God defend us? That’s what Asaph is asking. We are unjust. We are wicked. Why would God defend us, or show partiality to us? We are ugly, horrid, wretched, sinful, unholy, unrighteous, wretched. Why would God save us? Because of His mercy. Not that no one paid the price for our sin. Jesus did. He gave His own life to save us (horrid, horrible, wretched, wretches). He loved us so much, that He gave His own life to save us. Now, we are defended by God. Satan tried to ensnare us, but if we run to our savior, Satan will run from Jesus.
Unbelievers aren’t saved. If you are an unbeliever, then why not come to Christ? Why not be saved? We are all born wretched, wicked, unjust, sinners. Only Jesus can saved us from our sin. Only God shows partiality to the wicked (us). He can save you if you come to Him. So, why would you come to Him? Why wouldn’t you want to be saved? Asaph lived in the time where they sacrificed to God, and he wondered why God was defending the unjust. But, Jesus gave His life and paid for our sins, and He made us righteous. So, come to Jesus and be saved!
Praise God! Praise Him for He has shown partiality to us. He has saved us from our sins! Thank You, God! Praise the Lord with all your might. Praise Him, and give thanks for all that He has done. Give thanks for being saved, and for being given the Holy Spirit. Praise God! Thank Him, and Love Him!
