hello, God has given me something in Psalm 94:12 which says,
“Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord,
the one you teach from your law;”
The writer of this Psalm is saying that those who are disciplined by God are blessed. Now, discipline is different from punishment. Punishment is “paying back” to someone what wrong they did. In the Old Testament if people didn’t sacrifice an animal to God for their sins, they could be punished. But, when you are a child of God, and do wrong, you are disciplined.
Why aren’t we punished for our sin? Why are we only disciplined? Because Jesus took our punishment. The punishment for sins is death, Romans 6:23,
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.”
When we are disciplined, it is really a token of God’s love for us, Hebrews 12:6,
“because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a]”
We are loved by God if we are disciplined by Him. He has already loved us so much, so much that He gave His own son for us. Jesus has taken the punishment off of us and on to Him, and He gave us His righteousness. Though we still do wrong things, those who believe in Jesus will never pay the punishment for sins.
Are you an unbeliever If you are then why not come to Jesus? He will save you and make you new. He has taken the punishment for sins, and left us with righteousness. Why wouldn’t someone want to come to Him? Come to Jesus and be saved! Come and never pay the punishment for sins. Jesus can save you!
Praise god! He has sent His son to save us. Jesus has saved us from our sins. He has loved us, so lets love Him! Let’s praise Him with all our heart! Let’s give thanks for what He has done for us. Thank God for saving us! “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord oh my soul”!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for saving me. Thank You for loving me, and disciplining me, Lord. Thank You for making me Your daughter. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to praise You more. Please help me to be more thankful for all the wonderful things You’ve done for me. Thank You for blessing me so much. Thank You for everything, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
