Let the Redeemed

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 107:2 which says,

“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,”

The Psalmist is saying to the redeemed to tell their story. We are the redeemed. We should spread the our story to others. We have been redeemed from the hand of the foe. We have been redeemed from our sin, by Jesus’ death on the Cross, so now we can spread the Gospel to others. We spread the Gospel to others and Lord-willing they will come to see what Jesus has done for us.

We have been redeemed from our sin, from the hand of the foe. Those who are redeemed are Christians. We should share our story with unbelievers. We should also praise God for what He has done. The Psalmist is saying that those who are redeemed should tell their story. But, why should we tell our story? If “Every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” then why do we need to spread the Gospel? 2 Timothy 2:21 says,

“Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.”

We are to spread the Gospel so that others may come to Christ and be saved!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much, and for blessing me so much. Please help me to love You more. Please draw me closer to you. Thank You for all that You’ve done for me. Please help me not to be proud. Please help me to share the story of the Gospel. Please help unbelievers to come to You. Thank You for making me Your daughter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
