Great is Your Love

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 108:4 which says,

“For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.”

David is  writing about how good God is.  He is saying that God is so good. Where do we see that shown the greatest? The Cross! The Cross is the best picture of God’s love and faithfulness. First, God promised a savior:

“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

Then He sent Jesus (the son of God) to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life even though Satan tempted Him,

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil.” (Mathew 4:1)

Then He gave His own life on the cross. He died for our sins!

“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2)

God was faithful in His promise to send a savior, and He loved us so much that He sent His own son for us!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

David was right, God’s love is very great, and it endures forever,

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1)

God is so good, so let’s give thanks to Him.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much… just thank You so much for Your great love. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to give thanks to You. Thank You for all Your wonderful blessings. Please help me to spread the news of Your wonderful love, and what You’ve done for us. Thank You for everything Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
