Sitting With Christ

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 110:5 which says,

“The Lord is at your right hand[a];
    he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.”

David is writing. He is writing about what God says to “my lord”. David said that God was at his (“my lord”) right hand. He said that he (God) will crush kings on the day of his wrath. We were sinful. We were indulging in sin like kings indulge in the luxuries of life. We would have been crushed for our sins. But, Jesus came, and He was crushed for us. Isaiah 53:5 says,

“But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.”

Jesus was crushed for us. He lived the perfect life, and became the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He loved us, and died on the cross for us.

Jesus has now crushed the head of the serpent, like God said in Genesis 3:15,

And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
    and you will strike his heel.”

Jesus has crushed Satan!

Now, God is at our right hand… or we are at His left hand. The bride of Christ sits with Him, and we are the bride of Christ, Ephesians 5:23 says,

“For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.”

He has saved all those who come to Him. All believers are the church, and the church is the bride of Christ.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for letting us sit with You, Lord. Thank You for Your grace  and mercy. Please help me to love You more. Please help me to give thanks with You. Please help me to rejoice in You. Please help me to spread the Gospel to others. Thank You for all the wonderful blessings You have given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
