Great Love

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 117:2 which says,

“For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord.[a]”

The Psalmist is saying that God’s love is great, and His faithfulness endures forever. That is so true. Just look at what Jesus has done for us on the cross. He showed us the greatest love ever! John 15:13 which says,

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Jesus loved us even more than that, He gave His life for His enemies! He has loved us so much! He has given His own life for us. If you aren’t believing in Jesus, then why not come to Him?  He can love you too. He is mighty to save.

God loves us so much, John 3:16 says,

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The reason God can love us, and not put His wrath on us, is because He put His wrath on Jesus:

“He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.””

Jesus took God’s wrath. He has loved us so much!

God’s faithfulness endures forever! He has never left us or forsaken us, like He promised Joshua, Joshua 1:5:

“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

He is faithful and loving.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your great love and faithfulness. Thank You for never leaving us. Thank You for all Your compassion. Please help me to be more grateful, and loving. Please help to rejoice in You. Please help me to walk with You and talk with You. Thank You for all Your blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
