Preserve My Life

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 119:25 which says,

“I am laid low in the dust;
    preserve my life according to your word.”

The Psalmist is asking God to preserve his life according to God’s word. So, the Psalmist would have to offer sacrifices to atone for his sin, because that’s what God said to do. We were “laid low in the dust” of our sin. We were worthy of death, and hell. Yet, we are alive. How? Not of our own good works, but of Jesus’ good works. He gave His own life for us! He saved us by coming to earth, living the perfect life, dying in our place on a cross, and rising again on the third day, then ascending to heaven! He saved us! God has preserved the lives of those who will believe in Him since they were born. He has preserved us by putting His son to death.

God has given His own son for us and saved us from our sin. John 3:16 says,

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus loved us so much that He saved us from our sin! Now, we should spread the Good News to others. God has given His son to save all! 1 Timothy 2:3-4 says,

“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

Jesus has saved us, and now we have been preserved in God’s arms according to His word.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much. Thank You for preserving me in You, and helping me to grow in You. Please help me to love You, and praise You more. Please help me to give thanks, not only on Thanksgiving, but on every other day too. Thank You for all Your blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
