Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 119:64 which says,
“The earth is filled with your love, Lord;
teach me your decrees.”
The Psalmist said that the earth is filled with God’s love. That is so true. John 3:16 says that God loved the world so much He sent His son to die for us. God’s love is filling the earth! That’s how big it is! Anyone who comes to Jesus can be saved! Anyone who believes that Jesus gave His own life for us, can be saved from sin!
The Psalmist also asked God if He could teach God’s decrees. He actually wanted to teach the decrees of God! Romans 12:7 says,
“if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;”
The Psalmist wanted to teach the decrees of God. He wanted to tell people that they had to measure up to this high standard? He wanted to tell them that the bar was so high? The Psalmist knew that not everyone measured up, but he also knew that God was merciful. He knew that sacrifices could be made. So, he wanted to tell people, “Look, you needed to measure up, but you couldn’t. But see? There was a sacrifice offered in your place! You are saved!” We should want to say the same thing. We needed to measure up, but we couldn’t. Others needed to measure up, but they couldn’t. Now, we should long to teach others the decrees of God, because we know that there was a sacrifice that paid for all those decrees! Jesus gave His own life on the cross in our place, saving us from sin!
God’s love fills the world, so much that He sent His son who fulfilled the law and measure up for us! He saved us from our sin! Mathew 5:17,
““Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
Jesus has saved us!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Your son to fulfill the law, and save us from sin! Thank You for all the great love You have given us. Thank You for letting us be able to teach Your decrees, and tell others what You have done for us. Please help me to tell more people about what You’ve done. Thank You for all the wonderful blessings You’ve given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
