Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 119:94 which says:
“Save me, for I am yours;
I have sought out your precepts.”
The Psalmist is asking God to save him because He was God’s. So, because He was one of God’s people, then God should have to save him if he asked? The Psalmist also said that he had sought out God’s precepts. So if you seek God’s law and you are one of His then you’re saved? Then we are all doomed. Why? Because NONE of us are God’s own by ourselves. God hates sin, and we all sin.
So, how come we have been saved? Because of Jesus! Jesus died and became the sacrifice. We weren’t saved because we were one of God’s, we were saved and made to become one of God’s. Now, we are His children, because He has saved us! It wasn’t of our works that God saved us, it was because of Jesus. Ephesians 2:8 says:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”
We have been saved by the blood of Jesus, not because we are God’s children. But Jesus didn’t save us and leave us to not being God’s children. John 1:12 says,
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—”
We are the children of God, and we have been saved! Praise the Lord!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me so much! Thank You for not only saving me, but making me Your child. Please help me to walk and talk with You more. Please help me to always think of You and what You’ve done for me throughout the day. I love you so much, Lord! Thank You for all the blessings You’ve given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
