Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 119:105 which says:
“Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.”
The Psalmist is saying that God’s word guides his feet, and lights his path. We can say the same thing. Even though we deserved to die because our sin, we haven’t. That is because of Jesus! Jesus came down and died in our place, and rose again on the third day! He took our sin, and paid the price for it. He loved us so much! Now, we can say that God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths.
We can also say that Jesus is a light on our path. John 1:1 says:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Jesus lights our way, but He also is our path, John 14:6 says,
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus is our path to God. He is the only path, because He is the only one who gave His own life for us on the cross! Jesus is our light, and He led us out of darkness, like a Shepherd to sheep. John 10:11 says:
““I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
Jesus has saved us from our sin, and shown us the light. Now, in Him, we live in the light, not the darkness. 1 John 1:7 says:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.’
Jesus has saved us!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You so much for bringing me out of darkness, and into light. Thank You for being a light unto my path, and leading me. Please help me to love You with all of my heart. Please help me to show other Your love, and help them to come to the light. Thank You for all Your blessings, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
