Rejection

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 119:118 which says:

“You reject all who stray from your decrees,
for their delusions come to nothing.”

The Psalmist is saying that God rejects everyone who strayed from His decrees, because their delusions came to nothing. So, because wicked people are delusional they are rejected? The Psalmist is saying that anyone who doesn’t obey God’s decrees, and may be delusional enough to think they kept them, are rejected by God. Let’s face it, no one can live up to God’s standards by themselves. But we can through Jesus!

Jesus was rejected so we wouldn’t have to be! We were so delusional that we didn’t even see that Jesus was the way. But then, Jesus took our sin, and our delusions, and He was rejected in our place! He saved us from our sin! Now, even though we had strayed so far from God’s decrees, we are not rejected. Jesus was rejected for us! He has cleared up our minds, and now we are washed daily in the Word of God. Romans 12:2 says:

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

We have been “brain-washed” in the Word of God, so that we think clearly! Jesus has given His life, and saved us from our sin! He is our way to safety. He is the way out of our sin and our delusions, John 14:6 says:

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Jesus has saved us!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for not rejecting me. Thank You for giving Your son to be rejected for me. Thank You for all Your love and kindness. Please help me to spread the Gospel to others, and help them to be cleansed in Your Word. Please help me to love You more. Thank You for all the blessings You’ve given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
