Don’t Slip or Slumber?

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 121:3 which says:

“He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;”

The Psalmist is saying that God doesn’t list “your” foot slip. I don’t know who he’s talking to right now, but he’s saying that God would let his foot slip. He said that God watches over him, and does not slumber! So, God is protecting him. He won’t let him hurt himself, and he won’t let others hurt him.

God actually watches over us too! He looks after us, and He does not slumber. He will not let our foot slip. But, we were God’s enemies, so why would God protect us? Because of Jesus! Jesus came down and died on a cross for us. He gave His own life for us on the cross, and saved us from our sin! Now, God won’t let us be taken by Satan. He will keep us safe in His arms. He walks with us, just like he did Enoch. Genesis 5:24 says:

Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.”

God walks with us too, and He keeps us from falling. If we go to Him, He also keeps us from spiritually slipping. We can cry to Him when we are being tempted, and He will strengthen us, and help us. He sent His own son to die for us, and He also helps keep us from slipping! He is so loving! Praise God!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for letting me come to You to help me not fall. Thank You for watching over me, Lord. Thank You for sending Your own son to die for us on the cross. Thank You for loving me so much! Please help me to love You more, Lord. Please help me to praise You, and not be ashamed to praise You. Please help me to draw close to You, and grow in You. Thank You for everything You’ve done for me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
