Two Mountains

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 133:3 which says:

“It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.”

David is saying that when God’s people live together in unity (Psalm 133:1) then it is like dew of Hermon falling on Mount Zion. Mount Zion was where God gave His blessing. Mount Sinai was cursed, so that not even animals could touch it. Mount Zion was where God poured His blessing, even life forevermore.

The “even life forevermore” is pointing forward to the New Testament. We were giving life forevermore. You see, we deserved to die because of our sin (Romans 6:23, “For the Wages of sin is death…”), and we were going to die because of sin, and go to hell. And then, Jesus, the son of God came down to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life, and then He died in our place on a mountain (Mount Calvary) and He blessed us with eternal life! He save us! Praise God!

Now, we can live in unity with other Believers, and have the blessing of Eternal life! 1 John 1:7:

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.”

We have unity and fellowship with one another over what Jesus has done for us on the cross!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your son for me. Thank You for blessing me with eternal life through Jesus death. Please help me to spread the word to others who don’t know what You have done for us. Please help me to love You more, and praise You more, Lord. Thank You for all Your blessings! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
