Anyone can be Righteous

Hello, God has given me something in Psalm 143:2 which says:

“Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.”

David doesn’t want God to judge him, because he knows that he is not righteous. He said that no one is righteous. Of course, in David’s time, no one was completely righteous of their own accord. David knew that, and he knew the punishment for sin, so he asked God not to judge him.

But there is someone who is righteous. His name is Jesus. He lived a perfect life, and He obeyed the law completely. He was righteous, but instead of letting us all die, he saved us. Jesus is the son of God, and He loved us so much that He gave His own perfect life as a sacrifice to pay for our sin. He made us righteous! Now, we don’t have to please for God not to judge us, we can point to Jesus that judgement day. He has given us His Robe of Righteousness. He shed His blood for us. Praise God!

Now that we are righteous, we should tell others about it. We should spread the Gospel to those who are still in sin. We should want everyone to see the Gospel, and what Jesus has done for us. Jesus has made us righteous! Praise the Lord!

Dear Father,

Thank You so much for taking my sin on You! Thank You that You have made me righteous. Please help me to see more and more in Your word every day. Thank You for Your love, Lord. Please help me to spread it to others who need You. Please help me to love  You more. Thank You for all the blessings that You have given me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
