Hello, God has given me something in Psalms 144:3 which says:
“Lord, what are human beings that you care for them,
mere mortals that you think of them?”
David is talking to God, and he’s asking God why He cared for human beings. He said that humans are just mortals, and God, being so big compared to us, shouldn’t care for us.
So why does He care for us, and how does He show that He does care for us? God made us to be His creatures; God made us to worship Him. But we sinned, we did wrong and turned from God. Yet God still cared for us. In fact, He loved us so much that He sent His only son to take on all our sin, and to take the punishment for it.
Now, we can believe in Him and be saved. Jesus took our punishment, so now we can be the children of God. Jesus gave up His connection with the Father for a short time, so that we could have a connection with the Father forever.
God does care for us “mere mortals”. He loves us so much, and He strengthens us every day.
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
