Hello, today God has given me something in Psalms 145:8 which says:
“The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and rich in love.”
David is praising the Lord for His goodness. He is telling of how God is slow to anger, yet rich in love. He is telling about His compassion and grace. He is expounding on how good God is.
This was only when David was around. This was before God showed the heights of His love. God showed His love even more, when He made the ultimate sacrifice. He loved us so much that He sent his only son as a sacrifice for our sin. He poured out His wrath on His son, so that to us He could show His unfailing love.
God is slow to anger and rich in love. He showed that ultimately at the cross, but even every day He shows us His love. He provides the air we breath, and He causes wheat and corn to grow. So every day, we should be thankful, like David was. We should show our gratitude by praising God, and telling others of His goodness.
Praise the Lord!
Peace and love, Joy Cleveland
